Kindergarten Clap
Teacher Tip:
To get my 21 kindergarten students to calm down and get ready to go out to recess or to special areas, I have them line up at the door and then I clap my hands in a rhythm.
They immediately repeat the rhythm by clapping their hands exactly like I did. Sometimes, I snap and clap.
Before I know it, they are quiet and ready for our next activity.
