Pricing Information
I've tried to keeps the seminars affordable for schools and districts. In all honesty, it's not just about making money. It's also about making a difference in the lives of teachers and their students.
Pricing, for the most part, is based on: 1) the length of the presentation; 2) the number of participants; and 3) the distance from San Diego to the presentation site.
Listed below are some presentation options and their corresponding fees.
"Five Things" (90 minute presentation)
Less than 120 driving miles from San Diego:
- $500 for first 50 participants
- $100 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $1 per person for seminar guides
- $.58 per mile round trip transportation
Half day (3-hour presentation)
Less than 120 driving miles from San Diego:
- $700 for first 50 participants
- $100 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- $.58 per mile round trip transportation
- Lodging ( when necessary) billed at actual expense
More than 120 driving miles from San Diego:
- $1000 for first 50 participants
- $100 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- $.58 per mile round trip transportation
- Lodging (when necessary) billed at actual expense
Air travel:
- $1300 for first 50 participants
- $100 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- Air fare billed at actual expense
- Rental car billed at actual expense
- Lodging (when necessary) billed at actual expense
full day (5-hour presentation)

- $1200 for first 50 participants
- $200 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- $.58 per mile round trip transportation

More than 120 driving miles from San Diego:
- $1500 for first 50 participants
- $200 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- $.58 per mile round trip transportation
- Lodging (when necessary) billed at actual expense
Air travel:
- $1800 for first 50 participants
- $200 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- Air fare billed at actual expense
- Rental car billed at actual expense
- Lodging (when necessary) billed at actual expense
buy-back day (6-6 1/2-hour presentation)

- $1600 for first 50 participants
- $200 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- $.58 per mile round trip transportation
- Lodging (when necessary) billed at actual expense
More than 120 driving miles from San Diego:
- $1900 for first 50 participants
- $200 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- $.58 per mile round trip transportation
- Lodging (when necessary) billed at actual expense
Air travel:
- $2100 for first 50 participants
- $200 for each additional 50 participants or portion thereof
- $3 per person for seminar guides
- Air fare billed at actual expense
- Rental car billed at actual expense
- Lodging (when necessary) billed at actual expense
out-of-state, or air travel plus more than one hour driving time
- Additional $200 to all base fees quoted above plus all other regular charges
